Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 vs BLUETTI AC180 Power Stations
Updated · Price Drop Radar
Bottom line
The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 is the stronger machine: more output, faster recharging, a longer battery rating and about 10 pounds less to carry. The BLUETTI AC180 makes sense if it's clearly cheaper when you shop or if you want to add a Bluetti expansion battery later. Note that one independent test got about 950Wh of usable energy from the AC180's 1,152Wh battery.

What to look for
Usable capacity
Why it matters: No power station delivers 100% of its rated watt-hours; some energy is lost converting to AC.
How to check: Look for independent tests that measure usable energy.
Watch out: OutdoorGearLab measured about 950Wh from the AC180, 18% below its 1,152Wh rating.
UPS switchover time
Why it matters: If you want a computer or CPAP to stay on through an outage, the switch to battery has to be fast.
How to check: Compare the listed switchover in milliseconds.
Watch out: Anker lists under 10 ms; Bluetti's Amazon listing says 20 ms.
Weight per watt-hour
Why it matters: A 1kWh station gets carried to cars, campsites and closets.
How to check: Divide weight by capacity, or just compare pounds.
Watch out: The AC180 is about 35 lb, versus about 25 lb for the C1000 Gen 2.
Room to grow
Why it matters: An expansion battery is cheaper than replacing the whole unit later.
How to check: Look for named, compatible expansion batteries on the maker's site.
Watch out: Bluetti names three compatible batteries for the AC180.
Traps and timing
- This page covers the C1000 Gen 2, the model in the Amazon listing we link. The original C1000 has different specs, so check the title says Gen 2.
- The 49-minute full recharge needs Anker's HyperFlash mode switched on in the app.
- Power Lifting and peak figures are not continuous output. Compare 2,000W vs 1,800W.
- Bluetti's site showed the AC180 out of stock with a late-November restock when we checked, so Amazon stock may move fast.
Before you check out
- Add up the watts you need to run at the same time.
- Decide how often you'll carry it.
- If you need UPS backup, compare switchover times.
- Check the title says Gen 2 for the Anker.
- Compare the live prices with the cost per watt-hour on this page.
How we put this together
We don't test power stations in a lab. We compared the makers' published specs, the Amazon listings and independent reviews, all listed under Sources, and where they disagree we say so. Prices come from Amazon and are refreshed by our system throughout the day.
Price Drop Radar earns a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases made through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. That never decides which product we recommend.
